1.  How do I apply?

2.  What type of degree are you looking for?
We are inviting applicants from all disciplines to apply for the programme.

3.  Are you looking for a minimum qualification?
Applicants must be degree qualified, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree qualification

4.  How many graduates do you employ each year?
We currently have 12 Graduates assigned to the Graduate Development programme, and are looking to recruit 10 new graduates for our 2014 intake.

5.  How many intakes do you have per year?
We currently have one intake per year.

6.  When will the job start?
Successful candidates will start in September 2014.

7.  I am a graduate with some work experience, can I still apply?
Yes, you can still apply even if you have some work experience. The application process is the same for graduates with or without work experience.

8.  What training would I get?
Ongoing training and development will be provided relevant to the position that you are undertaking.

9.  What support / guidance will I receive?
Operations Graduates are given support from:
- Coach (Senior Toolpusher / Toolpusher on the rig)
- Mentor (General Manager)
- Learning & Development Department
- In-country teams

10.  When will I hear if my application is successful?
KCA Deutag will endeavour to reply to all applicants in a reasonable time frame after the application deadline.

11.  My application has been unsuccessful, will I receive any feedback?
Unfortunately, due to the large volumes of applications we receive, we are unable to offer you individual feedback on your application. However candidates will be advised if they have or have not been successful in their application.

12.  I have applied before, can I apply again?
Yes, you can apply even if you have applied in previous years and were unsuccessful.

13.  Can you give examples of assignment locations?
Assignment locations for our current Graduates have included Algeria, Libya, Brunei, Gabon, Oman, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Kurdistan.

14.  What is the split between practical experience on the rigs and the office based work?
An example of a typical rotation a combination of four or five week long operational field tours and functional project assignments

15.  Will we have much contact with other newly recruited graduates and graduates from previous years?
Regular contact with your graduate colleagues is encouraged, giving you the opportunity to share and learn from each other’s experiences.

16.  Is fluency in English a requirement?
English is the corporate language in KCA Deutag. Therefore applicants should be able to demonstrate fluency in English.

17.  Will I be given responsibilities from the start?
Yes, as future leaders of KCA Deutag, you will be required to demonstrate leadership behaviours from day one.
