KCA DEUTAG recognised as one of Britain’s fastest growing private companies - Monday 8th February 2010

KCA DEUTAG, the international drilling contractor, has been recognised as one of Britain’s 10 biggest private equity-owned companies in “The Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 10 Biggest” league table.

The league table is part of The Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 100, which was published on Sunday 7th February. It is compiled annually by Oxford-based research and networking events company Fast Track and is now in its fourth year.

The research ranks Britain’s biggest private equity-owned companies based upon fastest-growing profits (EBITDA) of more than £50m. KCA DEUTAG’s parent company, Abbot Group, was ranked as Britain’s 5th biggest.

Holger Temmen, KCA DEUTAG CEO, commented: “We are delighted to have been recognised as one of Britain’s fastest growing private equity-owned companies. This reflects our ambitions to continue growing across our key markets through delivering safe, effective and trouble-free operations to our customers.”

“The result also highlights the success with which we have managed our business during the global economic downturn, in what have been difficult times for many in this sector. The achievement is a reflection of the hard work of our people.”
